HD5K 2021 Virtual Run

On the 22nd May 2021, a wide range of runners from around the world took part in the virtual 5km run event organised by Hayes Davidson for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, runners competed individually from their own location using an app, tracking and timing their run. Prizes were distributed to the fastests and participants raising the most funds. We are so grateful for the various fundraising activities, entry fees and generous donations. Including our match funding, we are delighted that the event raised an amazing £40,000 for The Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The annual HD5K run is organised by architectural visualisation studio Hayes Davidson in honour of its founder Alan Davidson, who died of motor neurone disease (MND) in 2018. All money raised will go to the MND Association. Over the years, participants have joined from renowned practices such as Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, Make, Allies and Morrison, and AHMM, including co-founder and director Simon Allford and his family.

HD5K would not be possible without the hard work and support of the entire Hayes Davidson team. “The HD5K has held a special place in all our hearts here at Hayes Davidson, and whilst we would love to be all together this year in Hyde Park again as we did back in 2019, we felt that a virtual run was more appropriate for 2021,” said Hayes Davidson joint managing partner David Bullock. “This is very exciting for us, however, as we are able to open up our invitation to join our run to our entire community worldwide!”
