A collective effort to fund progress
The HD5K is an annual 5K run and walk raising vital funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) in support of neurological research, clinical care, and innovation. Organised by Hayes Davidson, with match funding provided by the foundation, the event brings together friends, colleagues, and partners in design, architecture, and visualisation to support the Foundation’s work in a spirited, community-focused way.
Since its launch in 2018, the HD5K has become a much-loved fixture in the calendar—offering a fun, inclusive opportunity for participants of all ages and abilities to run, walk, or cheer while raising money for causes that directly improve the lives of those affected by neurological illness. Since its launch, the event has raised over £353,000.
Community and collaboration
The HD5K reflects the Foundation’s values of collaboration, compassion, and creativity. It unites a wide network of supporters across disciplines, bringing people together around a shared cause with lasting impact. Whether participating in person or remotely, HD5K runners and walkers are making a direct contribution to improving outcomes for those affected by MND and related conditions.

Looking ahead
The HD5K is more than a run—it’s a shared commitment to driving progress in neurological care and research. The Alan Davidson Foundation is proud to support and celebrate the individuals and teams who take part each year and help make this meaningful event a success.
