Our primary focus for funding is Motor Neurone Disease research and treatments
We are dedicated to advancing the understanding, treatment, and care of Motor Neurone Disease (MND), with a goal of one day eradicating it.

Clinical Trials and Research
The foundation is committed to supporting clinical trials and neurological research that accelerate the development of effective treatments for Motor Neurone Disease. Our funding is directed towards collaborative, evidence-based projects that drive medical innovation, improve clinical outcomes, and deepen scientific understanding. We prioritise initiatives that bring together world-class research institutions and foster open data sharing, with the goal of translating discoveries into tangible benefits for patients.
The Foundation funds initiatives that improve the daily lives of people living with MND and neurological conditions, including specialist nursing, community-based care, and support coordination. We aim to bridge the gap between clinical settings and the realities of living with a life-limiting disease, ensuring that patients and their families have the support, guidance, and resources they need.
While our primary mission is to accelerate progress in understanding and treating Motor Neurone Disease (MND), we recognise that MND shares critical biological and clinical pathways with other neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and Huntington’s disease. For this reason, the Foundation supports a broad spectrum of neurological research that explores the mechanisms, progression, and treatment strategies across these interconnected diseases. We are committed to fostering innovation, driving discoveries that not only deepen our understanding of MND, but also hold promise for transforming outcomes across the entire spectrum of neurodegenerative disorders.
