Alan Davidson Foundation partners with HomeGrown Plus for Venice Biennale Fellowship

The Alan Davidson Foundation has joined forces with HomeGrown Plus and the British Council to send two emerging artists to Venice for a month during the art edition of the 2026 Venice Biennale.

HomeGrown Plus is a not for profit organisation that addresses issues of diversity in architecture and the wider built environment. It works to ensure that people from non traditional backgrounds can access fields such as architecture, helping to drive positive change across the built environment and wider society.

Following the success of their partnership during the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale, HomeGrown Plus has once again been selected as a UK partner for the British Council Venice Fellowships Programme. The programme supports two emerging creatives through a one month residency in Venice during the 2026 Venice Art Biennale.

HomeGrown Plus approached the Alan Davidson Foundation to support the Fellows’ travel grant as well as core costs associated with delivering the programme, alongside funding provided by the British Council.

As Exhibition Ambassadors at the British Pavilion, the Fellows help invigilate and activate the exhibition. Alongside this role, they also have the opportunity to develop their own creative research and use the Biennale as a platform for artistic and professional development.

HomeGrown Plus launched an open call in November 2025 and received more than 100 applications. The two Fellows were selected from a shortlist of seven candidates in February 2026.
