The Alan Davidson Foundation proudly sponsor the Under-26 Prize at the 2025 John Ruskin Prize

The Alan Davidson Foundation proudly sponsored the Under-26 Prize at this year’s John Ruskin Prize, announced during a vibrant awards ceremony at Trinity Buoy Wharf. Marking its third consecutive year supporting this important category, the Foundation also announced it will continue backing the prize for a further two years, extending its commitment through to 2027.

Now in its seventh edition, the 2025 Prize ran under the theme “From the Eye to the Hand”, celebrating multidisciplinary art that reflects close observation and craftsmanship in the spirit of John Ruskin. Among nearly 3,000 submissions, a standout selection of 87 works by 85 artists was exhibited.

The Alan Davidson Under-26 Prize was awarded to Alice Goehrs for her piece “120 m² de geste dans le vaste”, while Hannah MacCaig received Highly Commended recognition for “Redwood”. Their innovative work exemplifies the spirit of curiosity, precision, and storytelling that the Prize aims to celebrate.
