In the middle of the first lockdown in May 2020, the yearly HD5K run in Hyde Park had to be cancelled and was hastily organised as a virtual event. Despite restrictions and uncertainties in this troubling time, runners took part from their local parks and raised £2,860 for MNDA. The Foundation, already committed to match any money raised for HD5K 2020, and then decided to increase the gift to MNDA with a donation of £40,000.
