Our mission

The Alan Davidson Foundation is dedicated to supporting the search for a cure for motor neurone disease (MND) and improving the lives of those affected by the condition. This commitment reflects the personal journey of its founder, Alan Davidson, and sits at the heart of the Foundation’s mission. Alongside its focus on MND research and care, the Foundation also funds projects in assistive technology, architecture, education, and the arts. It aims to support bold ideas and practical solutions that create lasting impact, champion innovation, and reflect Alan’s passion for creativity, design, and his love for life and adventure.

About Alan Davidson

Alan Hayes Davidson RIBA; (1960-2018). Architect, artist, technologist and innovator. Best known for pioneering architectural visualisation between 1989 and 1995, and subsequently founding and building the world-leading visualisation studio Hayes Davidson.

The trustees are deeply committed to supporting initiatives that advance the understanding, care, and treatment of Motor Neurone Disease. At the heart of this mission is a determination to help eradicate MND entirely. This commitment is rooted in the personal experience of its founder, Alan Davidson, who was diagnosed with MND in 2012 and dedicated his legacy to improving outcomes for those affected by the disease.
